About the Owners
Larry Curtis and Sherri Curtis are a husband and wife team who has been revolutionizing the cosmetology education business for 15 years. They both have extensive experience in all facets of the beauty industry and have owned and run several successful, award-winning salons right here in Utah.
They decided to found their own cosmetology schools because they saw a need for better-prepared students who would graduate with the skills and confidence necessary for success in high-end salons: and Larry and Sherri’s shared dream has been realized in the four beautiful campuses of Taylor Andrews.
Larry Curtis, Founder and President of Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design graduated from Utah Valley with a degree in business. He is a Professional Beauty Association motivational speaker who teaches all over the western United States, and his extensive network of contacts gleaned over the years allows him to bring some of the biggest names in the cosmetology business to his schools where they regularly lecture, teach, and inspire the students at Taylor Andrews.
Principles from his acclaimed business program “Mission: Possible, Incredible Salon Success” are taught as part of the Taylor Andrews curriculum to help students learn critical skills relating to the business side of the beauty industry: empowering graduates to learn how to make money doing what they love and succeed in a highly competitive and rewarding field.
Sherri Curtis is a renowned makeup artist who has also been a hair stylist and successful salon owner for nearly 25 years. Sherri specializes in teaching 2-week Makeup Artistry courses as part of the comprehensive menu of academic offerings at Taylor Andrews, and is a recognized leader in her field. She got her start as a makeup artist in Hollywood and is still a much sought-after professional at the Sundance Film Festival and at ceremonies such as the Academy Awards.
Larry and Sherri are hands-on owners at Taylor Andrews, and they personally supervise all of their carefully-selected instructors to ensure that students are getting the best education anywhere. Their enthusiasm for what they do is contagious, and they truly inspire their students to reach for their dreams.
